BIO
Ben Lee is a singer songwriter from Richmond, Virginia. The Right Hand Son moniker comes from the Hebrew meaning of Benjamin - "son of the right hand". He began playing guitar in high school, wrote his first song in college, and hasn't stopped playing and writing since.
He released his first EP Ben in 2013 followed by a full-length, 17 song album It's Alright. in 2016. He's played shows all over Virginia, including the popular Richmond venues Ashland Coffee & Tea and The Camel.
He enjoys being satirical, vulnerable and raw with his songs and often sings about family, faith, and growing up in the south. The rough guitar playing and vocals put emphasis on the lyrics, as he prefers it. Whether singing about introspective ideas or jabbing at politics, Right Hand Son's music delivers a message.
